Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Andover this weekend.
The incident happened on 2 October between 12.30pm and 1pm on a pathway between the A3093 and Pilgrim’s Way.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, had been walking on the pathway, from the direction of the Tesco, when he was hit from behind by an unknown man.
He was then assaulted a number of times before the suspect made off. The victim sustained injuries to his face and ribs.
The suspect is described as being a white man, aged between 19 and 23-years-old, a skinny build, with medium length ginger hair. He was also described as having a pale complexion with freckles.
He was wearing a teal and mint coloured hooded tracksuit with white trainers and was riding a BMX style bike.
A 21-year-old man from Andover was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on police bail.
