Three men have been charged in connection with a robbery at a Tesco Express in Farnborough.
Police were called at 1:54 PM on Wednesday, 18 September, after reports that a container full of cigarettes was stolen from the store on Chapel Lane.
A staff member sustained a minor injury to her arm during the incident, and the suspects fled the scene in a Renault Grand Scenic.Officers were quickly deployed to the area, and after conducting enquiries, the vehicle was located on Bridge Road, Farnborough, at around 10 PM.
A search of an address on Cottage Gardens followed, leading to the arrest of three men shortly after midnight. During one of the arrests, two officers were assaulted.Following an investigation, three men were formally charged last night.
Jamie Manson, 31, of Whittington Road, London, has been charged with robbery.
Thomas Willett, 18, of Miller Avenue, Enfield, has been charged with robbery and possession of a Class B controlled drug. Both Manson and Willett are scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (20 September).
Kane Pyrke, 22, of Cottage Gardens, Farnborough, has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
Pyrke has been bailed and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 24 October.
