Police have sealed off three access points to a set of public gardens in Portsmouth following a serious incident overnight.

A large emergency response was seen around Arundel Street Gardens on the evening of January 28, with the police presence continuing into the early hours and throughout this morning.

Officers and police vehicles remain stationed at all entrances to the gardens as enquiries continue.It is understood that the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also called to the scene during the incident.

Both Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service have been approached for further details.
