Man, 34, arrested after suspected drugs seized during proactive stop in Basingstoke
A man has been arrested after officers allegedly discovered suspected cocaine during a proactive stop in Basingstoke.
Police said officers were on patrol at around 6.45pm on Sunday 10 May when they noticed suspected drug-related activity involving a black Mercedes on Butler Close.
The vehicle was followed before coming to a natural stop on Churchill Way West.
Following a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly located 11 packets of suspected cocaine along with two large bags containing cannabis. All items were seized.
A 34-year-old man from Coulsdon was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
He has since been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue.
