Man, 23, charged after suspected Class A drugs seized in Basingstoke
A man has been charged after officers allegedly discovered suspected Class A drugs during a foot chase in Basingstoke.
Police said officers were on patrol on 10 May when they were alerted by a Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Community Safety Patrol Officer to suspected drug-related activity at West Ham Park playground.
A man was detained following a short pursuit on foot. Officers reportedly seized £740 in cash along with a bottle containing suspected crack cocaine and heroin.
Oliver Brandao, 23, of Brynbedw Road, Ferndale, Wales, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He was due to appear before magistrates in Basingstoke today (12 May).
