Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Romsey Stabbing

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Romsey.

Police were called at 3.56pm on Friday, 22 May, to reports of fighting in Treviglio Close.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Daniel Eric Carter, 41, of Treviglio Close, Romsey, has now been charged with attempted murder.

He has also been charged with criminal damage, assaulting an emergency worker, and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.

Carter appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, 25 May, where he was further remanded.

He is next due to appear before Southampton Crown Court on Friday, 26 June.
