Woman Taken To Hospital After Collision In Basingstoke As Police Appeal For Witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Basingstoke which left a woman requiring hospital assessment.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Friday, 23 May, on Great Binfields Road and involved a Mercedes Benz E220 and a Skoda Scala.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was reported at the scene that the Mercedes had been driven dangerously prior to the collision.

Both vehicles sustained damage during the incident.

The driver of the Skoda, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital for assessment following the crash.

Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision are now asking anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage of either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.
