Witness Appeal After Road Rage Incident In Swanmore

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident in Swanmore involving a reported knife.

The incident happened at around 11.30am on Wednesday, 20 May, on Church Road, outside St Barnabas Church.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was driving along Church Road when he saw a Citroen C4 parked in a way that was obstructing the road.

After the victim reportedly shrugged his shoulders at the other driver, the Citroen driver allegedly began verbally abusing him.

The driver is then reported to have hit the victim’s car window before kicking the door, causing it to open.

Police say it was also reported that the suspect had a knife in his hand, causing the victim to fear it would be used.

The victim sustained a minor leg injury after the door was slammed on it, but managed to get away by reversing from the scene.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries and are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
