Woman Injured After ‘Wet Floor’ Sign Thrown From Westquay In Southampton
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was injured during an assault in Southampton.
The incident happened at around 8pm on Saturday, 16 June, when three boys, believed to be aged around 14, reportedly threw a ‘wet floor’ sign from the side of Westquay.
The sign struck a woman who was walking along Harbour Parade, causing her to suffer two black eyes.
Police say the same group then continued to throw stones at passing pedestrians.
Officers have since been carrying out enquiries in the area, including a full CCTV sweep, and are now asking the public to come forward.
Anyone who was in the area at the time, saw anything suspicious, or has mobile phone, dash cam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact police.
