Flat fire in Cosham closes railway station as crews tackle blaze
A major emergency response was launched in Cosham this afternoon after a fire broke out in a flat on Portsmouth Road.
Firefighters were called to the incident at 3.20pm, with crews from Cosham, Fareham, Havant, Hightown, Horndean, Portchester and Southsea attending the scene.
Crews worked quickly to surround the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Smoke from the blaze has affected the nearby railway line, leading to the evacuation of Cosham railway station.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that all people have been accounted for, with no reports of anyone missing.
Firefighters are hoping to begin scaling back the incident shortly, although the cause of the fire remains unconfirmed.
