Appeal for witnesses after serious motorcycle collision in Swaythling

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Swaythling during the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers were called at 1.01am on Saturday 20 June after a collision involving a silver Nissan Qashqai and a motorbike on Mansbridge Road, close to the junction with Octavia Road.

The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, suffered serious and life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing, and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, captured the incident on dashcam, or has CCTV footage from the area that could assist enquiries.
