Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Southampton on Sunday (24 April) which has led to three people being arrested
At 3.11pm, a 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were in the Tesco superstore in Tebourba Way, Millbrook, when they were assaulted by two men and a woman who then left the store in a purple and mauve Ford Fiesta and a red Hyundai Tucson.
The female victim received scratches, bruises and minor neck injuries, and the male victim sustained torn ligaments in his hand plus cuts to his ear and forehead.
Two men, aged 37 and 25, and a 22-year-old woman, all from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and have been bailed with conditions until 25 May while enquiries continue.
PC Ben Domican is leading the investigation. He said: “This was an attack in broad daylight in front of a large crowd of people, including young children.
“If you were at the supermarket and witnessed what happened, we want to hear from you.”
