Police are appealing for information following the robbery of a 17-year-old boy on King Henry I Street on Tuesday (9 November).
The victim was with friends in Guildhall Square when he was approached by a boy on a bike at approximately 7.20pm, who then demanded he hand over his property.
The boy fled onto King Henry I Street where he was chased by a group of boys who assaulted him several times and stole his trainers, which are described as size 10 Nike Jordan 1 Lows coloured white, black, light blue and dark blue.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Police believe the area would have been quite busy at this time of the evening and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything. Police would also like to hear from anyone who has found or seen the stolen trainers since the incident.
A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
