Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, following reports of a man suffering serious injuries during an incident in Southampton.
At around 3.30pm on Saturday 18 September, police were called to assist South Central Ambulance Service following reports of concern for welfare of a man at the junction of St. Andrew Road and New Road.
A man in his 30s was located with life-changing injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital; where he remains.
Police enquiries are ongoing at this time to establish the exact circumstances which led to the man’s injuries.
Detective Inspector Craig Fielding of Hampshire Constabulary, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone in the local area who may have seen what had happened or was in the immediate area just prior to the incident, as you could hold vital information, which could aid our investigation.
“If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, it doesn’t matter how small or insignificant you believe the information you might have, it could prove invaluable in establishing exactly what happened. We would implore anyone with information to please come forward.”
