Burglar Smashes Window to Break Into Southsea Tesco and Steal Alcohol

A Tesco Express in Southsea was targeted by a burglar in the early hours of this morning after a window was smashed to gain entry before several bottles of alcohol were stolen.

Police were called to the store on Albert Road at 1.32am on Monday (22 June) following reports of the break-in. A large police cordon was put in place outside the shop while officers carried out enquiries at the scene.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “An unknown male smashed a window and stole bottles of alcohol.”

Investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out further enquiries to identify the suspect.
