Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, following multiple attempted burglaries at the Town Quay in Lymington.
It comes after two people, in the early hours of Sunday 21 November, were seen to be looking into boats moored at the Quay. A number of boats were boarded and one vessel was entered by forcing open a locked hatch. The two men were disturbed when they tried to enter a boat due to the fact the owner was asleep on board.
The two men were then seen to flee the scene.
Police have released an image of someone that we would like to speak with in connection to the incident. While we appreciate that the image is not particularly clear, we are hoping that someone may recognise the pair of distinctive camouflage trousers in the image.
Do you know who this person is? Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anyone or a vehicle acting suspiciously in those early hours? Or perhaps you have CCTV or doorbell footage which may be able to assist police with their enquiries.
Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call 101, quoting reference 44210471576.
Alternatively, you can submit information to us online via this link https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/.
