Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to a flat fire in Waterlooville shortly after 8.10am Friday 22 October.
Appliances from Cosham, Waterlooville and Havant were in attendance, after reports that smoke was seen coming from a window of the first floor property in Laburnham Road, Waterlooville.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, high pressure jet hose to extinguish the fire and fan to clear smoke from the property.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service were in attendance, after reports that an occupant suffered smoke inhalation.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
