The Operation Hawk team in the east of the county have been investigating a burglary series in Emsworth, and have today (Sunday 30 January) arrested two people
The burglaries occurred between 20 January and 26 January this year.
A 33-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, both from Southsea, have been arrested on suspicion of the following offences:
- Attempted burglary on Lewis Road, on the evening of 20 January.
- Burglary on Skylark Avenue, overnight on 20 January. Bikes were stolen from a residential garage.
- Shed burglary on Nectar Way, in the early hours of 22 January.
- Burglary on Nectar Way in the early hours of 22 January. An electric bike and bike accessories were stolen from a garage.
- Attempted burglary on Skylark Avenue in the early hours of 22 January.
- Burglary overnight on North Street. A communal bike shed was broken into, and a mountain bike was stolen.
- Burglary on Skylark Avenue some time between 25 January and 26 January. A storage unit was broken into, and bikes, tools and sport equipment were stolen.
The men remain in custody at this time.
