Man arrested after Southsea street disturbance
Police were called to Salisbury Road in Southsea following reports of a disturbance involving a group of people.
Officers attended the scene at around 3.44pm on Thursday, May 28, after reports of a disagreement outside an address.
Police spoke with people at the scene and were told there had been a verbal disagreement, but officers said no offences were disclosed in relation to the disturbance.
While at the scene, officers searched a 35-year-old man under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and seized a small amount of cannabis.
The man was dealt with by way of a Community Resolution.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.44pm on 28 May following a disturbance involving a group of people outside an address in Salisbury Road.
“Police attended and spoke to people at the scene where officers were informed of a verbal disagreement, but no offences were disclosed.
“Whilst in attendance, officers conducted a search of a 35-year-old man under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and seized a small amount of cannabis. The matter was dealt with by means of Community Resolution.”
