A man has been charged as part of an investigation into a series of house burglaries in Portsmouth.
Michael John Smith, 35, of Warwick Crescent, has been charged with five counts of dwelling burglary and one count of cannabis possession.
The charges relate to burglaries at addresses on Meyrick Road, Tipner Lane, Locksway Road, Northern Parade and Beresford Road, committed between Tuesday 14 September and Saturday 25 September.
Smith appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 27 September) where he was remanded into custody.
He is next due to appear before Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 25 October.
