Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault which took place in Romsey last night (Saturday 12 March).
Between 9:45pm and 10pm, a man in his 60s was assaulted by a group of three men as he walked down The Hundred, near to The Phoenix Pub.
It was reported that he was hit with a glass bottle during this assault. He has been taken to hospital where he continues to receive treatment for serious head injuries.
Enquiries remain ongoing in the area to establish the circumstances, but officers are also requesting that any witnesses or members of the public with information make contact with police.
