A 10-year-old boy from Alton, who had earlier been reported missing, has thankfully been found safe, police have confirmed.
Earlier today, police issued an urgent appeal for help in locating the young boy, urging the community to assist in sharing the message.
The appeal quickly circulated across social media platforms, drawing attention from residents and beyond.
“We are pleased to report that the missing 10-year-old boy has now been located,” police said in a statement.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal and helped in the efforts to find him.
“The boy’s family expressed their immense relief, thanking the public and the police for their swift actions and support.
The circumstances surrounding the boy’s temporary disappearance have not been disclosed, but police have indicated that there is no ongoing risk to his wellbeing.
