Murder Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead at North End Address

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at an address in North End, Portsmouth.

Police were called by paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service at around 7.40pm on Monday, 25 May, after the woman’s body was discovered at a property in Hartley Road.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious while officers work to establish the full circumstances.

A 60-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

A cordon remains in place at the address, with officers carrying out enquiries in the area.

Anyone with concerns is being encouraged to speak to a uniformed officer at the scene.
