Police launch witness appeal following burglary in Southsea

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following reports of a burglary in Southsea

At around 4am on Sunday 14 August, police were called to a road traffic collision on Shore Avenue in Southsea involving a white Fiat 500.

Two young women, wearing cycling shorts and hoodies, were seen exiting the vehicle before leaving the scene.

Following enquiries, officers believe this car was stolen during a burglary at about 12.20am the same day in Mariners Walk, Southsea along with an Apple Watch, Apple Airpods and some perfume.

PC Kirsty Watts, of Hampshire’s Operation Hawk team, said: “Due to the damage caused to the vehicle, these girls may have injuries which someone will have noticed.

“If you have seen anyone matching this description, who may have sustained an injury recently, or if you saw either of these two incidents, please get in touch.”

Do you have CCTV, dash cam or doorbell camera footage that could help identify these women?
