Portsmouth left gridlocked following whats believed to he a fatal road accident.
Emergency services are dealing with a serious road traffic collision on Kettering Terrace in Portsmouth, which has caused major disruption across key routes in and out of the city.
Police have confirmed that road closures are currently in place while officers and emergency crews respond to the incident.
The closures affect Mile End Road onto the M275, continuing up to Junction 2 at Rudmore Roundabout. Princess Royal Way is also closed while the incident is being dealt with.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area until further notice, with congestion building on surrounding roads.
Delays are expected for anyone travelling into, out of, or through Portsmouth city centre.
