Three fire engines and two Land Rovers were called to a woodland fire near Newtown Road in Southampton at 1.41pm yesterday (20 July)

Fast response from Hightown, St Mary’s, Eastleigh and Lymington saw the fire quickly surrounded, preventing the incident from escalating.
The fire was extinguished using beaters and the stop message was received at 2.58pm.
