A 29-year-old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
DS Christian Reid-Milligan from Western Investigations said: “We are still asking for witnesses to this collision so please contact us if you have any recollection of what happened.
“Did you attend this football match and see the collision afterwards on your way home? Did you film it on your phone?
“If you have CCTV, dash cam or ring doorbell footage showing the incident we would also like to hear from you.
“Any evidence, no matter how small you think it may be, could greatly help our investigation.”
