Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary which happened in Southsea.
At around 10.30pm on Thursday 19 September, a man entered a house in Percy Road, but was disturbed in the kitchen by the occupant of the address.
The man – described as tall and muscular with a hood up – subsequently fled, and nothing has been reported stolen at this time.We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw a suspicious man in the Percy Road and Manners Road area that night.

We are coming to the end of summer, but it is still warm some evenings. However, we encourage people to keep properties as secure as possible including closing and locking windows and doors in the evening.
Please also consider keeping back gates as secure as possible and be vigilant if your property backs on to an area such as an alleyway which may not be covered by CCTV.
Other things to consider include putting timers on lights at the address, and keeping valuable items away from view.
