A Totton man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary offences following an incident in Pennington last night (7 Feb)
It comes after residents of a property on Corbin Road noticed a high-end mountain bike had been stolen from an outbuilding at around 11.30pm last night.
They had noticed a silver Nissan fleeing the scene and reported it to police.
A short while later, officers on routine patrols in Totton spotted a vehicle matching the description on Shakespeare Drive at the junction of Tennyson Road.
An area search was conducted and a boy was located nearby and detained.
A 16-year-old boy from Totton was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
He remains in custody at this time.
