Two men have been arrested in connection with drug supply offences after police officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in the New Milton area.
At around 10.45pm on Saturday 18 December officers made a number of attempts to stop a vehicle on Old Milton Road and then Christchurch Road in Barton-on-Sea, after noticing it had a broken wing mirror. The vehicle finally came to a stop on Sea Road in Barton-on-Sea.
The vehicle was searched by officers who found a quantity of Class A drugs, a quantity of cash and a mobile device – which were seized along with a number of cat keys for vehicles unknown.
A search of a property in the Christchurch area also located a further quantity of Class A drugs, a quantity of cash as well as an offensive weapon – all of which were seized as a result.
A 26-year-old man from Christchurch was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, acquiring / using or possessing stolen goods and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
A 24-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
They remain in custody at this time.
