Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted on West End Road, Southampton, on Monday 13 December.
At around 5.30pm, the woman disembarked the number 7 City Red bus at the roundabout on Townhill Way.
She was walking towards Dean Road when she was pulled to the ground, before being punched and kicked between 5.30pm and 5.40pm.
The suspect then fled the scene and a group of unknown people approached the victim to ask if she was OK.
Nothing was reported stolen and thankfully, the woman did not suffer any injuries.
The suspect was described as being a white man aged between 25 and 35.
He was around 5ft 10ins tall and had dark hair. He was carrying a red and white blanket, possibly striped.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses and information to help with the investigation.
