Witness Appeal Following Burglaries in Havant and Hayling Island
Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries linked to a white Enterprise van took place in the Havant and Hayling Island area on Wednesday 3 June.
Hayling Island burglary At approximately 5am, two men forced entry into a property on Seaview Road and stole a number of items, including tools and copper wiring. The suspects were seen leaving in a ’25 plate white Enterprise van.
Havant construction site burglary Later that morning, at around 7.30am, three men were seen climbing over a fence at a construction site on Pallant Road. They allegedly removed steel beams and tools before loading them into a ’25 plate white Enterprise van and leaving the scene.
A 19-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of:
Burglary dwelling with intent to steal
Burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal
He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police Appeal
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who:
Saw a white Enterprise van matching the description in either area.
Witnessed suspicious activity.
Has CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage that may assist the investigation.
