Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, after a man died following a collision in Brimpton Common
The incident, involving a Ford Transit van, a VW Caddy and a Ford Fiesta, occurred at around 8.10pm on Monday, July 11 on Hockford Lane at the junction with Brimpton Common.
The passenger of the VW Caddy, a 58-year-old man from Woodley, sadly died at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by officers at this time.
The driver of the VW Caddy, a 59-year-old man from Reading, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains at this time.
A 22-year-old man from Leicester has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol. He is currently in police custody.
Detective Constable Lyndsey Blackaby, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, or anyone who witnessed what happened, to contact us as soon as possible.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have dash-cam footage.
“If you have any information regarding this incident please contact us as soon as possible as it could help aid our investigation.”
