Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of an assault on Victoria Road, Aldershot
At 10.51pm on Sunday 7 August, police received a call to a report of an incident near the Victoria Food & Wine shop.
It had been reported that a group of men had been involved in an altercation inside the store.
A man in his 40s was punched and kicked to the ground. He has suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries but are now appealing to the public for help.

Officers believe this was an isolated incident and would like to reassure the local community that they are taking this report extremely seriously.
As part of enquiries, a 36-year-old man from Hayes has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.
