Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Kent Street, Northam, on Sunday 20 February
At around 5pm police received a report that a man was threatening another man outside the victim’s flat.
The man then entered the flat and assaulted the victim.
The victim, a man in his 60s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries and is being treated at hospital.
A 32-year-old Southampton man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody at this time while police continue to investigate.
Officers are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident, they believe it to be an isolated event.
