A woman has been charged with driving offences after her vehicle collided with a police car in Sandown.
The collision, between a Mini Cooper and a patrolling police vehicle, occurred at the junction of Leed Street and Fitzroy Street at around 7.15pm last night (Thursday 20 January).
Two police officers were taken to hospital following the collision, but have since been discharged.
The passenger of the Mini, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. These are not deemed life-threatening.
The driver, 32-year-old Danielle Tuffrey of Atherley Park Way in Shanklin, has been charged with drink driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a valid test certificate.
She was bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 4 February.
