Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Southampton on Friday (13 May)
It was reported to police that at approximately 8.30pm, the victim, a man in his 50s, was at the junction of Wakefield Road and Witts Hill when he was assaulted by a group of three or four people.
The man sustained injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
The group are believed to have got out of a black vehicle before the assault, similar to a Range Rover. After the initial assault they then followed him and assaulted him again at the junction of Vanguard Road and Lytham Road.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened or saw a group of people or a black Range Rover in the area.
Perhaps you were driving through the area at the time and may have dash cam footage that may assist the investigation?
