Police are appealing for information following a number of burglaries in the Rowlands Castle area overnight from Tuesday 24 May into Wednesday 25 May
Two addresses on Bowes Hill, five properties on Links Lane and an address on Greatfield Way were targeted:
It was reported to police that at approximately 12.30am entry was gained to a shed and a garage at an address on Bowes Hill.
Nothing was taken. Sometime between 9pm on Tuesday 24 May and 6.30am on Wednesday 25 May entry was gained to a garage at a second address on Bowes Hill. Again, nothing was taken.
It was reported that a garage and a shed had been broken into at a property on Links Lane. A mountain bike and various tools were taken, some of which have since been recovered.
Police also received a report that a second property on Links Lane had been broken into and a number of high value items, including handbags and a mountain bike, had been taken.
The occupant of a third property reported that two bottles of alcohol had been taken from their garden. Police also received reports that somebody had attempted to gain entry to garages at two further properties on Links Lane. Nothing was taken on these occasions, however the garage door at one of the locations was damaged.
Police e received a report that a garage at a property on Greatfield Way had also been broken into. Nothing was taken.
Nobody was injured during any of these incidents.
Since these burglaries and attempted burglaries were reported to police, officers have been carrying out extensive lines of enquiry to identify those involved, including CCTV scoping, scene examinations and speaking with residents in the area.
Officers have carried out thorough house to house enquiries but are appealing to anyone who lives locally that officers have not yet spoken to who may have CCTV footage of suspicious activity in the area overnight from Tuesday 24 May into Wednesday 25 May.
