Body Found In Search For Missing London Man Andrew Jameson In Petersfield

Police have confirmed that a man’s body has been found during the search for missing London man Andrew Jameson.

Andrew, 62, was last seen at Petersfield Railway Station on Monday, May 11. Since then, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary had issued a number of public appeals asking for help to locate him.

Officers have now confirmed that the body of a man was discovered in the Petersfield area on Thursday, June 11.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Andrew’s family have been informed.

A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said:

“Officers searching for missing Andrew Jameson from London sadly discovered the body of a man yesterday, Thursday 11 June, in the Petersfield area.

“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Andrew’s family have been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner. Thank you to all of you who shared our earlier appeal.”

Police have not reported any suspicious circumstances at this stage.

Our thoughts are with Andrew’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
