Burglary investigation launched after armed intruder forces entry into Southampton property
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man reportedly armed with a knife forced entry into a property in Southampton.
Officers were called to Weston Grove Road shortly before 10pm on Saturday 10 May following reports that an unknown man had entered a property while carrying a knife. Thankfully, nobody inside the address was injured during the incident.
The suspect had left the scene before officers arrived, and enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate him.
During a search of the property, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, namely cannabis. He remains in police custody.
Police believe a number of people were in the area at the time and that some may have captured photos or video footage which could assist the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw suspicious activity, or has relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 44260220216.
