Family Pay Heartbreaking Tribute To 24-Year-Old Man Who Died Following Cowes Fire

The family of a young man who died following a fire in Cowes have paid a heartbreaking tribute to him.

Emergency services were called at 3.32am on Friday 26 June to a fire at an address in Ronsons Close, Cowes.

Police attended alongside fire and ambulance crews, but sadly 24-year-old Lucas Scutt, from Cowes, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a tribute, Lucas’s family said:

“Our family is completely devastated by the loss of Lucas, a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. He brought so much joy, love, and laughter into our lives, and his loss leaves an unimaginable void.

“We are also mourning the loss of his beloved pets, who also passed away alongside him.

“We, as a family, ask that our privacy is fully respected by the media at this time as we attempt to come to terms with this profound tragedy.”

Police say their investigation into Lucas’s death remains ongoing.

As part of enquiries, three men remain on bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
