Tributes are being paid to a male who died following a fatal stabbing last night in Greenwich
Friends and family are paying tribute to a 20 year old male who sadly died following a violent attack last night in Greenwich.
Police are appealing for witnesses into the violent attack that happened at 5:11pm on Tuesday, 8 February police were called to reports of a stabbing in Lionel Road, Greenwich.
Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics. They found a man, believed to be in his early 20s, with stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene and taken to an east London hospital.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have been informed and are leading the investigation.
At this early stage there have been no arrests but an investigation is under way.
A crime scene is in place at the scene of the incident and is likely to remain so for some time.
