A major RTC on the Eastern Road is causing massive delays in and out of the city

The RTC happened on the Northbound Carriageway of the Eastern Road Roundabout junction with the A27.

It’s understood firefighters from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called at 10.50am to a person’s trapped RTC.

Three cars were seen at the collision with one being seen on its side on the round about, occupants of one of the other vehicle had to be cut free by firefighters after becoming trapped in the collision.

Police have closed the roundabout heading out of the city and are currently diverting traffic along the Northbound Carriageway of the Eastern Road towards Farlington.

Delays are likely for sometime please avoid the area and plan an alternative route.
