A man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences after a proactive stop search in Eastleigh yesterday afternoon (12 April)
It comes after officers on patrol on Sayers Road in Eastleigh allegedly witnessed a suspected drug deal taking place and stopped a black Vauxhall Insignia at around 12.30pm.
Upon searching the driver, and the vehicle, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs – namely cocaine – and a quantity of cash were located and seized.
The 29-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
A subsequent search of an address in the Southampton area located further quantities of drugs and cash; which were also seized.
He remains in custody at this time.
