A man has been charged following a pursuit in Southampton on Saturday (26 March)
At around 7.20pm, a black Vauxhall Corsa was stolen from Park Walk, Southampton.
At 10.46pm the vehicle was seen on Northam Road. The vehicle failed to stop and was followed by police.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Park Road where the driver decamped.
Callum Hickman, 22, from Golden Grove, Southampton, was charged with:
-aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving
-causing serious injury by dangerous driving
-driving a motor vehicle dangerously
-driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol
-driving whilst disqualified
-failing to stop after a road accident
-using a motor vehicle in a public place without third party insurance
-common assault of an emergency worker
He was remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (28 March), where he was further remanded to appear at Southampton Crown Court on 29 April.
