A SOUTHAMPTON man who left an officer with serious injuries after crashing his motorbike into an unmarked police car has been spared a prison sentence.
Jordan Norman Trainor ploughed his KTM motorbike into a police car in Spring Close, Southampton.
The officer inside was left with a fractured ankle, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Trainor, 33, had been made off from police and been chased into the close which he then tried to escape.
He was charged with causing serious injury by dangerously driving a mechanically propelled vehicle in a public place.
Trainor, of Bullar Road, previously pleaded guilty.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court, he was jailed for 18 months, suspended for two years.
