Portsmouth and Fareham firefighters rescue man stuck in the mud
Southsea and Cosham crews, along with water rescue trained firefighters from Fareham were called to Milton Common near Eastern Road this afternoon following reports of a number of people trapped in mud.
Upon arrival crews made contact with the casualty who was stuck in mud up to his waist around 100 metres from the shore.
Firefighters deployed specialist mud equipment to reach and rescue the casualty who was then handed over to South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.
Crews left the scene following the stop message at 1.28pm.
