Two Charged After Man’s Throat Cut in Fareham

A man and woman have been charged following a serious assault in Fareham in which a man’s throat was reportedly cut.

Police were called to an address on Beaumont Rise at around 10pm on Sunday, 14 June, after receiving a 999 call from a 25-year-old man who stated that his throat had been cut.

Officers attended the scene alongside ambulance crews, and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment. He was later discharged the same evening.

Investigators believe the man was assaulted with a kitchen knife during the incident.

Following enquiries, two people have now been charged and remanded in custody.
Andrew Stone, 44, of Hamlet Way, Gosport, has been charged with attempted murder.

Annalise Laura Cheshire, 31, of Beaumont Rise, Fareham, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Both are due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 16 June).

Police enquiries remain ongoing.
