Two Men Charged Following Southampton Disorder
Two men have been charged after violent disorder in Southampton on Tuesday evening (2 June).
Matt Styler, 50, of no fixed abode in Gosport, has been charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Daniel Frost, 44, of Northam Road, Southampton, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The charges were authorised overnight by the Crown Prosecution Service, and both men are due to appear before Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 4 June).
The charges follow disorder in the city on Tuesday evening. Criminal proceedings are now active, and both men are entitled to a fair trial.
