Two men have been charged in connection with an alleged aggravated burglary at a property in Hedge End.

Leon Parker, 41, of Mescott Meadows, Hedge End, has been charged with aggravated burglary, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), and intentional strangulation.

He appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19 June and was remanded on conditional bail. He is next due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday 15 July.

Anthony Charles Parker, 63, of Fairfax Court, Southampton, has been charged with aggravated burglary, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

He is due to appear before Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 23 June).

The charges relate to an incident at a property in Radley Close, Hedge End, at approximately 8.30pm on Wednesday 12 May, during which it is alleged that entry was forced into the address and a man in his 40s was assaulted.

The case remains before the courts.
